On the basis of a newspaper report, the DLSA, Tinsukia on 22.01.2024 under the guidance of Hon’ble Chairman Sri D. Bora, AJS and Secretary Sri F.U.Choudhury, AJS recovered a homeless old aged person who was found residing in a small bamboo shed beside the N.H 315 at Borgolai under Margherita P.S, Tinsukia. The recovered person Sri Tarun Chandra Das had been admitted at Civil Hospital, Tinsukia on the night of 22.01.2024 with the help of PLV Sri Sukhen Gogoi and Sri Munin Das of DLSA, Tinsukia Two learned judicial officers (Sri R. Shandilya and Smti D. Devi) of Tinsukia district judiciary showed immense kindness and generosity by donating necessary clothes to the recovered person. . As per the version of recovered person, he hails from North Guwahati area of Kamrup district and he is having one son Sri Pankaj Kumar Das alongwith daughter in law and one grandchildren at his home. The exact reason for his arrival at Tinsukia could not be ascertained yet as he is under treatment. The DLSA, Tinsukia is in continuous touch with DLSA, Kamrup (Amingaon) as well as police officials of Kamrup (Amingaon) district and media personnels for tracing out the family members of Sri Tarun Ch, Das so that he can be reunited with his family at the earliest. The DLSA, Tinsukia is providing above mentioned assistance to the recovered person under NALSA (Legal Services to Senior Citizens) Scheme 2016.
