The first National Lok Adalat for the year 2024 is scheduled on 09th March 2024. The Legal Services Authorities across the Nation will organize the Lok Adalat on the aforesaid date within their respective jurisdiction. As a part of the effort, the DLSA, Tinsukia has taken steps for giving wide publicity about benefits of National Lok Adalat so that maximum people can attend and avail benefits of Lok Adalat. To mention a few, the APDCL will provide upto 80% rebate on surcharge of pending electricity bills. Similarly, all banks, BSNL and private finance institutions will provide huge discount to the defaulting customers/consumers as per guidelines. In addition to that, the fine amount of traffic challan cases will be considerably reduced by the courts.
