The DLSA, Tinsukia in the month of December 2023 has provided legal assistance to the guardian of one minor girl who was alleged employed as domestic helper by a person of Tinsukia District and later on taken to another state by that person wherein she is subjected to mental and physical harassment and also kept against her will. The guardian of aforesaid minor girl approached DLSA, Tinsukia for assistance, and accordingly, the matter is informed to District Child Protection Unit, Tinsukia and subsequently an F.I.R had been filed with the police for taking action in the matter as per law. The above legal assistance is provided by DLSA, Tinsukia under NALSA (Victims of Trafficking and Commercial Sexual Exploitation) Scheme 2015.
